QUERY GUIDELINES!
If you want to query me please send a query letter and sample chapter IN THE BODY OF AN E-MAIL to victoria.gsliterary@gmail.com. Please make sure you include the word, "query" in the subject line.
Struggling with the query letter? Then don't send it yet! Check out this and this. Great posts by other agents who have generously blogged about how to write a good query letter. You can also google "how to write a good query letter for a literary agent" and you'll get some hits.
So, you've sent the query. EXHALE. You should have gotten an auto-response that confirms I received your query. If you did NOT get an auto-response your query did not go through. Please send it again.
You got the auto-response? Awesome. Now that you know I got your query, BE PATIENT. I'm the only one reading these e-mails, and yes, I read them all. It can take me up to 6 weeks to respond to you. Maybe even more if all hell breaks loose. If you're having anxiety about your query, come right back here or check my twitter feed because I tell you how far along I've gotten in my queries! I have answered all queries sent on or before April 13th, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. EST. If you sent a query before April 13th, 2013 and I have not responded, Please resubmit.
I have responded to all partials and fulls sent through March 25th, 2013. If you have not heard from me about a solicited partial or full manuscript that I received before March 25th, 2013 please let me know.
